COMPETITORS GROUPS: PROFI i NON-PROFI
The competitors start in two groups: profi and non-profi.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTERING THE COMPETITION
Only adults with a medical certificate and appropriate freediving competences are allowed to start.
The competitor dives (in free way but without weight) to a target depth (44 meters in the profi group or 20 meters in the non-profi group), takes the tag and returns with it to the surface, but does not fully emerges, stops at a depth of not more than 2 m (in the Statics Zone marked on the line) and continues diving, trying to achieve the longest possible time before reaching the surface.
The competitor receives points for the time spent apnea and for the reached depth. Competitors may receive penalty points in the event of failure to deliver a tag, fail to reach the target depth or start after the Official Top.
The competitor may be disqualified in the event of reaching the Statics Zone too late, blackout, submerging the respiratory tract after surfacing, incorrectly following the Surface Protocol, starting the dive too late (30 seconds after Official Top), inhaling oxygen before diving.
A competitor who experiences symptoms of lung squeeze will not be allowed to take part in the finals.
QUALIFICATION HEATS AND FINAL; STARTING ORDER
Competitors start three at the same time. In the finals take part 6 best competitors in the profi group (women and men separately) and also 6 in the non profi group (women and men separately).
The competitor may use bi-fins or monofins, a mask or specialist goggles, nose clip, watch with stopwatch but may not use wetsuit or weight.
The beginning of the dive is understood as the complete immersion of the competitor – not only of the respiratory tract. The dive time is counted from the Official Top (not the respiratory tract immersion) to the emergence of any part of the competitor’s body.
END OF PERFORMANCE
Within 15 seconds of surfacing, the competitor must correctly complete the Surface Protocol.
WARMUP ZONE and START ZONE
The coach / buddy may accompany the competitor in the Warmup Zone but not in the Start Zone
ANTI-DOPING TESTS AND OXYGEN USE
It is forbidden to inhale oxygen and mixtures with enriched oxygen content as well as the use of doping agents, but the organizer does not provide for anti-doping tests.
